Programs for Kids

The Museum of Craft and Design offers a variety of programming for children, both at our Museum in the MakeArt Lab and in partnership with organizations across the city such as public libraries.

Our children's programs focus on learning about artistic techniques and always include an opportunity for kids to explore their creativity hands-on in a supervised environment.

We think you’ll love artist Holly Lane’s landscape paintings so much, you’ll want to pocket one! Never fear, in this workshop you’ll craft your own picturesque 3-D landscape nestled inside a pocketsize tin. Use modeling clay to illustrate a landscape from your imagination, or model yours after California landscapes! Please note: these pieces will benefit from oven-baking at home after the workshop.
