The San Francisco Museum of Craft+Design offers a variety of special programming for our members and the general public. Panel discussions, lectures, special events, children’s programs, docent tours, and special group tours are offered concurrently with our exhibitions.

Free to members.

MakeArt Workshops

Designs Inspired by Matt Kahn
Bring your children to explore their creativity in this fun MakeArt program, where they will create their own art and design projects to take home. The workshop starts with a family tour of the exhibition Matt Kahn: Artist and Educator followed by a hands-on art project. This workshop is for ages 6 to 12, and parents/caregivers are welcome to join us for the tour.

Silver of the Stars

The workshop starts with a family tour of the exhibitions Silver of the Stars, The Millennium Collection for Bute House Scotland and Fred Ball Enamels, followed by a hands-on art workshop where children can create their own piece to take home.
