The Thinking Body
October 17, 2008 – January 4, 2009
Exhibiting works produced over the last thirty years by contemporary American and European artists in a variety of diverse media, The Thinking Body examines ideas about the body’s perceptual relationship to jewelry, functional objects, and spaces. Examining how socially constructed ideas about objects can shift and expand, this exhibit reflects the artists interpretation of adornment and their relationship to the body.
