As a result of the exhibition partnership with The Henry Ford, their vast Herman Miller Design Collection was made available for the exhibition, most of which had never before been on public view.

Good Design: Stories from Herman Miller presents museum visitors with “stories” chosen to embody four different active characteristics of “good design,” reflecting the problem-solving ethos of Herman Miller Inc.: Ergonomics, (For Healthier Seating), White Collar Work (Action Office-To Support New Kinds of Work), Graphic Communications (To Effectively Communicate a Message), Mid-Centruy Classics (To Furnish a new Type of Living Space).
